Its scrumptious, its sweetened with Kakadu plums or argave syrup, yes, still fructose, but better than cane sugar.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05285873564550568786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10609526.post-23139247192233844852012-05-07T10:11:45.890+10:002012-05-07T10:11:45.890+10:00Well done you! We're semi-sugar-free. I'm...Well done you! We're semi-sugar-free. I'm trying hard but dammit, my husband is a chocoholic. He insists on buying good dark chocolate and I do succumb some nights after dinner. He's also a marmalade addict but I haven't hard marmalade for months.

We haven't given up wine; there's a limit! I love my glass of wine with dinner.

What's really hard though is when you need to consider what's in pre-bottled sauces. I love Japanese food and like to splash some Teriyaki sauce on a stir fry. No points for guessing what the second ingredient is. Sugar. Aargh!

Anyway still losing weight too, albeit slowly. Any loss is a good loss though, isn't it!?Carinthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09490217708697574505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10609526.post-9603981517031446432012-04-16T20:53:15.208+10:002012-04-16T20:53:15.208+10:00I had some delicious spelt rolls this weekend, wil...I had some delicious spelt rolls this weekend, will try them again.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05285873564550568786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10609526.post-79481087929199087512012-04-16T17:51:14.522+10:002012-04-16T17:51:14.522+10:00Mmmm....bread!!!! It's a bit pricey at the health food shops but if you can get hold of some spelt flour it's relatively easy to make a loaf. Says me. Haven't tried making spelt bread yet but used to make my own wheat bread when I was eating it regularly.Carinthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09490217708697574505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10609526.post-57826557768253963812012-04-12T16:20:50.690+10:002012-04-12T16:20:50.690+10:00Yes it is, life without wheat is a bit of a challe...Yes it is, life without wheat is a bit of a challenge as I do love bread :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05285873564550568786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10609526.post-4861507972935360022012-04-11T08:46:28.733+10:002012-04-11T08:46:28.733+10:00Five kilos! My life has been a 'swings and round-abouts' with weight, most annoying, I loose it, keep it off, then it creeps back again and the cycle recommences, sigh!

I like to cycle as well and I see you do as well, its such a lovely way to travel the roads I reckon :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05285873564550568786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10609526.post-22460468837234503132012-03-28T09:09:12.142+11:002012-03-28T09:09:12.142+11:00I am on the Clean and Lean diet which is also very...I am on the Clean and Lean diet which is also very much against eating sugar. It tells me wine is a no no so I think I'll switch to the Sweet Poison theory instead :-).
I started off with six kilos to lose and have lost three of them since I cut down on sugar. I would have lost more by now except I still enjoy dark chocolate, and occasionally milk chocolate, on a regular basis, as well as a glass of wine every night. I cheat and have the odd bit of cake or biscuit but my tastes have turned towards the savoury rather the sweet in recent years so I don't really miss biscuits and cakes.
Cutting down on or cutting out sugar really will work. In the first two weeks of Clean and Lean you're not allowed fruit or wine because of the sugars and I dropped a kilo during that time. Not sure what Sweet Poison has to say about fruit but I suspect eat it in moderation.
I look forward to hearing how your journey progresses.Carinthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09490217708697574505noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10609526.post-20042183299366300152012-03-27T19:26:32.843+11:002012-03-27T19:26:32.843+11:00Thank you so much, that is wonderful, I am honoure...Thank you so much, that is wonderful, I am honoured!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05285873564550568786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10609526.post-53230237360480629162012-03-21T15:09:16.239+11:002012-03-21T15:09:16.239+11:00You've been awarded a Liebster Award by our bl...You've been awarded a Liebster Award by our blog.
